Update on Angel Tree -- GOOD NEWS! -- all the kids on the tree were adopted when I got there at 6:30 on Sunday - they said over THREE THOUSAND people participated. I'll bring up delivering gifts instead...maybe the group will want to do that the man at he booth said they need help with dropping off the gifts.

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to thank you all for coming through for Regina and Nilo in their time of need. Regina is so excited about her new place, and to have hot showers, and not be bumping into 10 roommates anymore. Thanks again, you are all such a blessing!!

Unfortunately Nilo passed away just before Christmas. He was in so much pain, I am happy to say that he is in heaven now, and is not suffering anymore. They are having a memorial service for him in Lake Forest on Saturday, Jan 5th, at 11am. If anyone would like to come just give me a call and I can swing by and pick you up or get you the address.

Regina continues to have a positive attitude.. but please keep praying for her strength, she's going to need it.

First of all let me just say Praise my Father Lord almighty. God is good. We had a great turnout of residents and volunteers. We were blessed with the Ohana group doing their dance and music worship. If you've never experienced it i highly recommend it( sat nites at 6:30)

I realize a long time ago that to say Jesus is the Lord and Savior was not enough. This scripture made me realize that People would know my faith by my actions. This has always been a tricky concept but let me simplify it. People will not see you as a Christian if they continue to see you doing the things you did before I accepted Christ. True Faith brings change. When we first accept the Lord we feel different because he comes to live in us. When you say your a Christian and stay the same then you probably acted on impulse, but don't worry not all is lost, change can still come if you seek support from a fellow Christian. You don't have to figure out your entire course of action because that is up to God, but you can decide to say Ok Lord, what now. Where do we go from here? Those are the acts that show your faith. God is not going to ask you to Climb Everest but he might say can you walk to the other side of that hill and comfort your brother or sister. The works we should be doing is an expression of the love we feel knowing that we belong to Jesus. Show some love today and smile at someone you don't know, open the door for an elderly person or pray and share with a friend. Your faith will build. This way you to can begin a relationship with Jesus and become "a friend of God"

I may not be able to make it (will keep posted) but Im still so ready to help before then! The 99 Cent Store has sooo much baby stuff. I can swing by and grab extra goodies on Friday if we need. I checked to see if I could find anything about free car seats from the CHP but had no luck. Lets keep our eyes out on Craigslist though! The group has a little money saved up from the change jar.
